With over 15 years of accounting experience across small public CPA firms and private industry, Renee joined Meritage as Financial Controller where she writes and manages budgets, handles AR and AP, and most importantly, keeps everyone from stressing the f*ck out (her words, not ours). Her superpower? Going back to school in her 30s while married with four young children AND working full-time, earning her associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in just 8 years—because apparently she likes a challenge.

When she’s not making sure the numbers add up perfectly, Renee enjoys two hobbies: sleeping (though she admits she’s terrible at it) and drinking wine (which she’s VERY good at)—a combination that perfectly embodies her Ron Swanson philosophy of “Never half-ass two things, whole-ass one thing.”
